The product itself is good--a nice sturdy bike, weighs more than 30 pounds, and I like that for my new rider. However, it was a christmas gift and came shipped in it's original box! No precautions whatsoever on shipping it carefully...(looked like it was pulled from a target shelf, someone stuck a mailing label on it, and wished it godspeed.) Came all ripped open and re-closed with packing tape...at least someone at UPS felt bad for this bike and tried to do something about it. I had read this in earlier reviews and thought it was something that wouldn't really happen to everyone...but alas!! It did! And I'm lucky my daughter didn't see the box sitting at the door--because it was a big old picture of the BIKE! What kind of service is this? I probably will not order from amazon again based on this shipping problem. There were some scratches on the bike itself, but not to affect usage (or asthetics) and I figure once she starts riding she'll lay it down and scratch it up anyway.
