The rear axle is secured into the frame by two plastic parts that both seal the rear frame cross-piece and center the axle in the rear cross-piece. My daughter is quite small for her age (4.5 now, probably no more than 30 pounds). After a few bumps, stops, and such, one of these plastic pieces broke (the "stem" that surrounded the axle broke out of the "cap" that surrounded the rear cross-piece).

I thought, "no big deal...I'll just call the company and buy some replacement parts, and have it up and running in no time." This, however, was NOT to be.

I called the company identified on the sticker on the bottom of the scooter, Bravo Sports ([...]) at the number specified for customer service ([...]). I followed the prompts/options for replacement parts and spoke to someone there and we had the following conversation:

Her: I'm sorry, we sold that scooter as a "complete item" to retailers and, as such, we don't stock or make available replacement parts for it. We have a number of *smaller items* that we do this with.

Me: So, how is a consumer supposed to find out if there are replacement parts available or not for one of your products before they buy it?

Her: Maybe you could call the company and inquire about it before you buy the item?

Me: So, you have some products you support, and others that you don't, and the only way to find out is to call you BEFORE one buys your products?

Her: Yes.

Just some background on me-I always research my product purchases thoroughly for quality and price(locally and over the web), looking for the best deal.

I bought this for my 7 year old son who wears a size 4. The great thing about these skates is that they extend to size 7 very easily. I was somewhat skeptical about the resizing, thinking it would be a half/awkward attempt at stretching the skate, but it works perfectly.

The overall quality is very good and the design is cool for a boy too, with flames on it, etc. and not too gaudy. I glued it and duct taped it. After a while the duct tape started to come off so I duct taped it some more. The price point did make me think about it for a moment, but between the lack of separate mounting hardware to break or lose (note: I *always* lose my headlight mounts -- always) and the fact that they could be easily transferred between my various bikes, I decided to give the SPOK lights a go. The lights turned out to be well worth the gamble.

First, as aforementioned, you cannot lose the mounting hardware on these -- you might lose the velcro wrapstrap, but if that happens all you need to do is pick up another wrap strap or run a zip tie through the strap housing. The lights mount securely to just about anything without the need for those weird little rubber shims that come with most head- and tail-light mounting brackets. They stay where you put them, as you positioned them. Their simplicity is, in a word, beautiful.

Moreover, these lights are brighter than you might expect. The design of the light housing prevents them from blinding you, the cyclist, while making your presence known to drivers within a wide radius. I have very good night vision, but am easily blinded by bright lights, so I really appreciate this.

Not only do I love my current SPOK lights, I'm planning on purchasing at least one more set -- I currently have the tail light mounted on my helmet, and would like to add one to my seatpost bag (because nothing succeeds like excess).

These are probably not designed as your sole light source for late-night rides on dark country roads. However, for commuting in town, they are about as perfect a choice as I have yet encountered. I love them.

I was very excited when I ordered this bike and had high hopes. My son loved it but we only had the opportunity to ride it a few times. After a spill the steering arm broke away from the body of the bike. He is only 2 & 1/2 and weighs 35 lbs so I do not believe it was from excessive wear and tear. I have not yet contacted the manufacturer but will be doing so and plan to update this review. Depending on how the situation is handled I may be updating this review. A brief synopsis: I have a pair of Rollerblade brand inline skates that are about 13 years old. They are a hard shell boot and I thought it was time for replacement. I began looking and especially liked the new hybrid type of boot, a combination of hard and soft shell materials which allows for greater ventilation/airflow and comfort-ability.

I knew what I wanted so it made the search easier. I wanted a hybrid boot; light, specifically searched for aluminum frames. I also wanted an 80mm wheel with very good bearings; either rated in the 7 or 9 category.

With my requirements; wah-la... I came across the Roller Derby Hybrid G900 inline skates. Out of the box, they looked great. The boot was attractive and the support system looked solid. The frame was light, the bearings quiet and 80mm urethane wheels. Unfortunately, I did not receive any instructions as to the care of the skates. Regardless, I could not wait to hit the pavement.

Upon my first adventure, the Hybrid G900 felt a little off. One boot was perfectly fine, while the other seemed loose (specifically my heel didn't sit right) no matter how much I re-adjusted my foot and how much I tightened it into the boot cavity. I persisted and noticed a lot of resistance in my ride. I expected to obtain certain speeds but encountered a lot of drag that prevented me without enormous effort. Ok, I thought to myself; perhaps they just need to be broken in. After all, I haven't bought new inline skates in 13 years.

While testing, the wheels spin freely on the skates when not being worn. My speculation is that the urethane wheel material is "too" soft and that when the skates are on, there is too much friction against the pavement which essentially causes a slow ride and to certain extents uncontrollability, especially noticed in turns. After sever attempts, neither the boot comfort nor the resistance seemed to change. Therefore, I decided to return the skates.

Perhaps, the Roller Derby Hybrid G900 make a great "beginner" skate but as I classify myself as an intermediate skater; these skates did not fit the bill. So, if you're just starting out inline skating and want to `definitely' not go to fast - these skates may be for you.

I began to my quest to find a new skate. I decided to go back to the "Rollerblade" brand since I had a very good experience with my 13 year old pair. I encountered the Rollerblade Wing 10 skate. It has a soft and hard shell hybrid boot, an aluminum frame, lite 80mm wheels, and SG7 bearings. I bought these while the Roller Derby brand was being returned. Upon receipt of the Rollerblade Wing 10 inline skates, I immediately put them on and went out skating. Instantaneously, I noticed the extreme boot comfort and the resistance-free ride. No drag and I was able to make loose and tight turns without any issues. Excited, I went out for a 3 mile ride. The Rollerblade Wing 10 inline skates are a keeper! These skates were twice as much as the Roller Derby brand; but you get what you pay for.

I have this lock for about a year now. The lock is just about the most comfortable size - small enough to carry along, long enough to lock to most things. This is a really flimsy product. It is hard to maneuver/drive. It came without seat belt and when I called fisher price about this they informed that seat belt is discontinued as it is of no use. I do not buy that argument, my daughter almost fell on a couple of occassions (she is over 13 months). Overall there is no fun in this as there are no horns or whistles in this and it is very hard to drive (both for kids and for adults using the rod).
