I bought 2 of these for my children aged 6 & 8.
I was a little worried by the performance of these so of course I "geared" them up head to toe and was quite pleased how well they performed! They were very easy to control and the center point for going straight has a little tightness which helps track the scooter going straight. Within 15 minutes they were a pro on these. The larger tires definitely made navigating holes and cracks a dream. The battery says 45 minutes of run time but I guess due to their weight (50 & 65) they last for over 90 minutes! I am 6' and weight 250 and it had no problem scooting me around for a test! This little scooter is fantastic and HIGHLY recommended for pure thrills and enjoyment.
