This trike is solidly made (it's made in Germany) and very stable which is important for us. our daughter who is 18 mths old can climb on the trike without it tipping over and the steering lock also stops the trike from tipping when she oversteers suddenly. We love the understated colors. Assembly took me about 15 minutes and is very simple indeed. As other reviewers noted, you can lift the front wheel slightly off the ground if you want to take full control or if your child is too tired to pedal. Our daughter absolutely loves it, she gets on it everyday and asks to be taken out on it. Other kids in the playground often want a turn! Also make sure you get the red bell, she loves it too.
